Earleybird Pre-School was established in 1987 and based in a mobile classroom within the grounds of Hawkedon School, Lower Earley, though the pre-school is privately run. Since this time we have started successfully working in partnership with the School to form a Foundation Stage Unit.

Unfortunately, our current building has almost reached the end of its lifespan both legally (to provide a safe for young children) and physically and we have a constant battle to maintain it to Ofsted standards. We have planning permission for a new permanent building and have managed to secure half the funding for this from the local Council. However, this money has a deadline so we URGENTLY need to raise the final £100,000 in order to meet the shortfall required.

With this in mind we have launched ‘The Earleybird Appeal’ and are asking for your help to raise the funds for the building we so desperately need which will benefit both the local community and future generations.
